Effective Teams
Creating an Effective Team
A team can only be effective if the whole is greater than the sum of its parts and together the team does things that its members cannot do on their own.
This GENI programme helps groups become effective teams by learning key skills such as:
- Choosing your priorities and staying focussed.
- How to hold a productive debate.
- How to constructively challenge another's point-of-view.
- Explaining your point-of-view and being understood.
- Agreeing a course of action, follow-up and follow-through.
GENI teams choose the right issues, debate them vigorously and productively, choose the right course of action, and follow-up to see their actions through to completion. GENI teams make a difference.
Being Ready for the Future
If your team can prepare your business for the future before it happens then you will steal an advantage over your competitors that will be difficult to match.
The key to doing this successfully is identifying the questions you need to answer. If you don't know your questions, you definitely won't know the answers. Questions such as:
- How is the buying behaviour of our customers changing?
- What products and services will our customers want next year?
- How should we respond to the strategies of our competitors?
- What should our priorities be over the next year?
- How can we increase the performance of our people?
GENI helps clients to clarify their key questions and find the answers. We do this by gaining an understanding of the issues and opportunities. We then design and deliver workshops that help the team find the answers and decide on the preferred course of action.
